KUALA LUMPUR – NuEnergy Holdings Berhad has entered into a strategic collaboration with Sunview Group Berhad to strengthen their combined presence in Malaysia’s rapidly expanding residential solar market.
The partnership is formalised through a share subscription agreement between NuEnergy and Sunview’s indirect subsidiary, SunMate Energy Sdn Bhd, to jointly support future rooftop solar projects.
Under the agreement, SunMate Energy will increase its share capital to 1,000,000 shares. NuEnergy will subscribe to 400,000 new shares valued at RM400,000, while Sunview Ventures Sdn Bhd will subscribe to 599,900 new shares. Upon completion, SunMate Energy will be 40% owned by NuEnergy and 60% owned by Sunview Ventures.
This collaboration brings together two established renewable energy players with strong capabilities in residential solar deployment, project execution, and customer-focused service delivery.
NuEnergy CEO Mr Eric Tang Weihann emphasized that the partnership aligns with the Group’s strategic commitment to expand its renewable energy portfolio and increase participation in the residential solar segment, one of Malaysia’s fastest-growing markets.
Sunview Group executive director and Group CEO HP Ong echoed the shared vision, noting that homeowners are increasingly turning to solar as a clean and reliable source of energy.
“By combining our strengths and optimising our joint approach, we aim to make rooftop solar solutions more accessible and attractive to Malaysian households,” he said.
“This collaboration enhances service quality, improves operational efficiency, and positions both companies to contribute meaningfully to Malaysia’s clean energy transition.”
The partnership reinforces both NuEnergy and Sunview’s commitment to advancing nationwide solar adoption and supporting Malaysia’s long-term renewable energy goals.
