NuEnergy Secures RM270 Million Solar + BESS EPCC Contract in Johor

KUALA LUMPUR, 13 November 2025 — NuEnergy Holdings Berhad formerly ILB Group Berhad, has been awarded two Letters of Award (LOA) totalling RM270 million to undertake the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) of a 65 MWp Solar Photovoltaic (PV) plant and 200 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Pasir Gudang, Johor.

The project was awarded by Binastra Green Energy Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Binastra Corporation Bhd. According to The Edge Malaysia, the LOA comprises:
• RM54 million for engineering, construction and commissioning
• RM216 million for equipment procurement
Target completion is set for the second quarter of 2026, marking one of the most significant solar-plus-storage developments in southern Malaysia to date.

The Johor project will feature:
• Large-scale high-efficiency solar PV deployment
• A grid-supporting 200 MWh BESS
